🔍Threads rolls out updates to search, video viewing, and trending topics. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri announced tests for new trending displays and expanded search filters to improve the discovery on the platform.
🎶YouTube introduces a 2024 Music Recap, offering users a detailed review of their top artists, genres, and songs from the past year. Featuring animated screens and personalized insights, the recap will showcase users' listening habits throughout the year.
🏉X encourages sport engagement with new 'NFL Portal'. The portal activation will allow NFL fans to track the latest news and debates, whilst contributing to the page with their own thoughts and opinions. Fans can also track news, live scores, player statistics and game schedules.
🦘Australia moves forward with plans to ban under-16s from social media apps. The Online Safety Amendment bill was introduced in parliament yesterday, with a vote expected next week. Despite controversy, the government is committed to its push for tighter online safety regulations.
