📉 Data has shown X’s daily user figures in the UK have dropped from 8m to 5.6m in the past year. User numbers are also falling elsewhere across the globe, meaning Elon Musk is now relying on “user seconds” as a key metric to measure X’s performance.
👻 Snap has unveiled a range of app updates to support creators, with an updated UI to make the in-app experience more seamless. This includes increased utilisation of AI recommendations to improve the personal feel and relevance of the viewing experience and help creators and publisher partners find new audiences. This aims to generate more engagement, ads, and discovery, to aid the platform’s growth.
📱 Meta is introducing a host of ad updates to help drive further sales and conversions. This includes updates to the discount code flow, new reminder ads and the ability to add multiple links to a single image ad.
🔥 Instagram has added new stickers and emojis to its offering for Stories and Reels, as well as bringing back the ‘Emoji Pong’ game. This comes from an updated UI which the platform hopes will boost IG’s appeal to student audiences, as this is an engaging interactive element for this audience.
