🖼️ Instagram tests new vertical grid display for user profiles. The square-shaped thumbnails may switch to longer images across profile pages, which align better to videos and Reels when formatting. Instagram Chief, Adam Mosseri, has announced that this update is likely to be coming to all users soon.
📊 Threads announces a new range of features including analytics, post drafts and scheduling. Desktop users are now able to access a display of key performance metrics for their account, showing view counts, interaction insights, audience demographics and a follower growth chart. Additionally, Threads will be rolling out native post scheduling, as well as post drafts, to help users plan their posts more effectively.
📋 X faces allegations of ads appearing alongside harmful content. In a recent report by the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), X has been accused of displaying ads from prominent brands alongside harmful and offensive content. The report highlights instances where ads appeared next to misinformation about the ongoing unrest and controversial commentary surrounding recent race riots across the U.K.
🎯 Meta is set to enhance its ad attribution and targeting processes to capture more data points, allowing for better campaign optimization and stronger connections between Meta ads and conversions. In line with these efforts, Meta is also expanding its testing of the 'Conversion Value Rules' feature, which helps businesses prioritize specific audiences or conversions based on their importance.
