🤳 Instagram has added four new interactive stickers in the hopes of encouraging more engagement and interaction in-stream. With more people sharing posts through private DMs, Meta has added this new feature to provide users with more options and maintain in-stream interactivity. The four stickers are as follows: ‘Add your music’, which allows users to respond to a story with a music track, ‘Polaroid frames’ where you must shake your phone to reveal the picture, ‘Reveal stickers’ where users must DM the creator to view the photo, and ‘Cutout stickers’ which enables you to create a sticker from any element in a photo to use in other contexts.
📰 X adds AI generated news summaries for premium subscribers, to provide an overview of whatever issues are gaining traction at any given time. The Grok AI engine, which powers these news summaries, uses X posts to come up with real time summaries of the latest trending conversations on the app.
💸 TikTok has announced a new update to its premium ad placement option, where brands can now use ‘pulse offering’. Pulse offering enables big brands to maximise ad placement within the app by ensuring their promotions appear next to the most popular content from premium publishers and creators.
🎮 LinkedIn has officially launched in-stream games with competitive user rankings to give LinkedIn users a break from the grind of their workday. The new puzzle games intend to provide a moment of relief for professionals, whilst increasing LinkedIn’s in-app engagement.
