Unlocking your Va Va Voom
In honour of the Renault Clio’s 25th anniversary, we celebrated what makes the Clio sexy and distinct from the ordinary by inspiring people to unlock their Va Va Voom.
We installed a 25ft giant Moulin-Rouge themed birdcage with Parisian-style love locks (staying close to the brand’s French roots), which gave consumers the opportunity to unlock prizes (unlocking ‘Va Va Voom’).
We amplified media excitement through celebrity ambassador, Fred Sirieix (Channel 4’s First Dates) with interviews, video interviews and a stunt launch. We also created a news gen story ahead of the installation at King’s Cross, with a survey revealing the top 25 French words and expressions that people use in every day life, including Va Va Voom.
Our campaign helped Renault UK achieve its best sales results in eight years.
Additional activity included a competition with Stylist.co.uk, with a total of 11,136 entries, as well as creating and managing media mailers to create excitement with key lifestyle press ahead of stunt. Our national coverage of the stunt reached over 14million people.
