Sunday newspapers saw circulation decline almost across the board in December, according to the latest ABCs. The Telegraph again led the way, with its Sunday edition down 10.8 per cent (36,700 copies).

The Mail on Sunday and the Sun on Sunday both recorded a decrease of 3.4 per cent, while the Sunday Mirror fell 2.5 per cent.

It was a more encouraging story for the Sunday Express, which grew circulation by 0.5 per cent, but the combined Sunday market fell 3 per cent between November and December, and was down 11.8 per cent compared with the same period in 2017—close to 700,000 copies in total.
