Jellyfish

Netting coverage for Jellyfish

Jellyfish brought Eulogy! on board in December 2008 to build a PR platform and establish the company as the leading paid search specialist marketing agency in the UK.

Objective

Jellyfish tasked Eulogy! with building a presence in the digital and online marketing media almost from scratch. The ultimate goal is to make Jellyfish front-of-mind for journalists writing about search and other digital issues, as well as helping the agency win industry awards, and raise its profile among potential clients and employees.

Description

Media relations
Creating a press office for Jellyfish to ensure the correct spokespeople were matched to the right profile-building opportunities. Also arranged meetings with key journalists, introduced all target media titles to Jellyfish and drafted awards entries.

Seeding news stories and comment pieces
Included specialist SEO copywriting for new business wins and distribution via online newswires to as wide an audience as possible. Drafting thought-leadership articles on paid search issues for key Jellyfish spokespeople.

Creative hub
Devised quirky campaigns based around unusual search terms e.g. weirdest fitness keywords to drive PR if lack of new business meant fewer news stories to place.

Results

  • 21 pieces of coverage achieved in first month – target was 4 pieces
  • Almost doubled the agreed evaluated points system in first quarter of coverage
  • Jellyfish won its first award, E-consultancy's innovation in account management 2008
